Minutes of the Meeting to appoint a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Caldecote Parish Council on 25 July 2002 at 7pm in the village hall
Present: Parish Councillors; B Drayton, T. Footman, O. Kember (Chairman), J. Lang, and P. Phillips.

1. Appointment and terms and conditions
Two candidates Mrs Elizabeth Coe and Mrs Deborah Gingell were interviewed.
On a proposition by Councillor Kember, seconded by Councillor Lang it was agreed that the Parish Council offer employment as Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Caldecote Parish Council to Mrs Elizabeth Coe of 32 Ashmead Drive, Hardwick on the following terms and conditions.
Employment commencing - Thursday 1st August 2002 subject to a six months probationary period and satisfactory references.
Hours - 22 hours per calendar month.
Salary - 22 hours x £6.69ph (LC1 point 15) this represents an annual salary of £1766.16 (i.e. £6.69 ph x 22 hrs pcm x 12).
Holiday entitlement - will be twenty-two working days per annum plus public holidays calculated pro rata.
In order to ease Mrs Coe into the role it was agreed to ask Mrs Stoehr to continue as Responsible Financial Officer (RFO) for the time being, gradually, over the forthcoming months, handing over more and more responsibility for the finances to Mrs Coe with the expectation that Mrs Coe will assume all the financial duties and full RFO role within six months. The number of hours for Mrs Stoehr continuing with this responsibility are to be agreed at the next meeting.
Mrs Stoehr is to be instructed to draft Mrs Coe's general terms and conditions of employment and send them to her.
