Minutes of the Meeting to appoint a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Caldecote Parish Council on 22 August 2002 at 7pm in the village hall

Present: Parish Councillors; B Drayton, T. Footman, O. Kember (Chairman), J. Lang, P. Phillips and F Wolton

1. Appointment and terms and conditions

Following the resignation of Mrs E Coe, one candidate Mrs Christine Turner was interviewed.

On a proposition by Councillor Kember, seconded by Councillor it was agreed that the Parish Council offer employment as Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Caldecote Parish Council to Mrs Christine Turner, 9 Cavendish Way, Highfields Caldecote on the following terms and conditions.

Employment commencing - 1st September 2002 subject to a six months probationary period and satisfactory references.

Hours - 22 hours per calendar month.

Salary - 22 hours x £6.69ph (LC1 point 15) this represents an annual salary of £1766.16 (i.e. £6.69 ph x 22 hrs pcm x 12).

Holiday entitlement - will be twenty-two working days per annum plus public holidays calculated pro rata.

It was agreed that the Chairman would to draft Mrs Turner's general terms and conditions of employment and send them to her.

There being no further business the meeting closed at pm.
